Rewal Poland Feb 2024 Part 1

The beginning of Feb we took a long weekend on the coast of Poland, this time staying in Rewal. We got in after dark, but had a quick wander by the water

The next day we were off to explore the city

I have never seen a gate like this before!

They still had their Christmas decorations up which was fun

The town is not very big so we continued on down the coast

To TrzÄ™sacz and Ruiny KoÅ›cioÅ‚a w TrzÄ™saczu - the ruins of a 14th century church

After that we were debating - do we continue on to the next tiny town or do we head back? We decided to go on to Pustkowo and I was glad we did

Baltic cross of hope

And look at how cute these guys are! I was glad the Christmas lights were still up!

Then we circled back to our place along the beach

It was so windy! But the wind was to our backs so it was okay

Where we were staying above was almost the the end of the beach here, but there was plenty more around the corner. This was a pretty fun day. Rewal, and the other small towns, were like ghost towns, but it was still fun to wander.

The final days in Paris

Our second day of our museum pass we used to go to the Louvre. It so huge - we spent from open to close there and just managed to see everything. It is also very confusing how to get from point a to point b - so many stairs and up and down floors just to see the one floor....good thing I had Raymond or I would have wondered aimlessly forever (but by the end I had the hang of it). We started with the medieval Louvre, Greek, Etruscan, Roman and Egyptian Antiquities. When we first walked in we were right behind a few tour groups, but somehow we lost them pretty quick and we able to walk around and brows without tons of people. I cannot imagine going during the summer when it is super crowded. I liked the different colors of stone on some of them After that we got some lunch nearby then headed back to look at the paintings Then my favorite part - decorative arts. So much fun pretty things. Replica of Napoleons apartment. Then ...

Updates!

So I know we haven't updated in forever.....but we have REALLY been in the middle of nowhere. The section through the high Sierras is at least a 9 mile hike out to a road where you might get a ride down to a town (and we did that 9 mile stretch and the library there was....tiny and not very well organized). So we haven't been anywhere were the internet connection was good enough to upload anything, but Raymond is working on uploading the last few that we had from before The Sauffley's. But I am working on uploading the rest of the pictures we have taken so far, and depending on time I may make a post highlighting some of them. Raymond put a link to the pics on the side so you can just click that to see what we have been walking through. We have fallen a little farther behind now, but we are not really worried. This last section, the high Sierras, was exhausting! And I was not about to try and do more as then we wouldn't have been enjoying it....and if I am not enjoying ...

Campervan Adventures in Iceland: Day 11 - Kerid Crater & Reykjanes Peninsula

Day 11 our first stop was Kerid Crater. This was nice, but nothing special. You have to pay to get in, you can walk around the top and then down to the water, but if you are going to be seeing other craters then this is an easy one to skip. Nice, but nothing special.
