On our last day in Napoli we had a bit of a lazy morning then headed to the Duomo to check out the blood of San Gennaro. We hadn't done that yet and since it is only on display for a few days after the festival we didn't want to miss it. The room where they keep the blood had all of the metal statues that were paraded through the street during the festival. The blood is in the gold thing. Really it is in the top circle part. They had people standing guard over the alter with the blood. We came at the perfect time. Right as we were going to leave the priest came in, took the blood container from the gold thing it was housed in, stood at the front of the alter and people lined up to kiss the blood container. Before each person the priest would move the blood around so you could see it really was liquid. An accidental photo, but I like it. After we went to the Duomo we got some lunch then headed do
