More photos and audio!

So I am in the process of uploading photos to my photobucket account (click on any picture below and it will take you there). I didn't take many from this last stretch as most of it was in the freezing cold fog and we could see nothing. I will have up to photo 600 uploaded! Crazy! Raymond is going to work on uploading the audio in a bit....though it is taking forever! And he may time release post them or something so not all of them will be up at once...and we are not sure how many we will be able to get uploaded. We will be leaving Agua Dulce tomorrow and heading to another trail angels for a day and then out into the hot hot desert (well hopefully not too hot, though today is hotter than yesterday for sure). Anyways enjoy the pics and the audio!

More pictures are up

So I am in the process of uploading pictures from the first few days. I added titles to a few....but there are too many to do them all right now. They will be in a wacky order, but they are getting put up. I have 553 pictures so far, and hopefully a hundred or so will be uploaded before I am kicked off the computer. So check them out to see where we have been (some are not the best photos, and need rotated and such, but we only have limited time here :) It is still snowing today (and accumulating) so we may be here another day...we shall see. Anyways enjoy the pictures!

Stupid Libraries.

So I only have six minutes left and just wasted a few seconds letting you know, but I need some assistance in getting things off our iPod onto the net. In the last town we were in, I came so close to getting it up only to be thwarted by the only damn cd -burner in the shop being broken. This is the problem: my iPod is mac formatted - the folks at Apple thought it would be hilarious to not include some sort of compatibility between windows and mac versions of iTunes to read the voice memos you record from any computer. If your iPod formatted on a mac (I believe it's HSF +), windows iTunes will tell you to reformat the buggar . And get this, the iPod records voice memos in old school PC style wav files. What the hell. Anyway, I can't test or install things on this library computer, but if someone checking the blog who is tech savvy could find a program to retrieve data from a mac formatted iPod from a windows machine - a program that doesn't use a god damn install

Wrightwood!

So the trip from Big Bear to Wrightwood has been a bit crazy (in a good way). We started off and it was gorgeous! Then we had 2 days of extremely hot weather (over 100 degrees) where we had to sit out from noon till 4 or 5, then the warmest night we have had so far followed by the coldest night. Then this morning we got up (last night was freezing cold!) and started walking and it started snowing....a lot. It was crazy. 2 days ago it was so hot we couldn't hike, then this morning snowing. But it was a great 6 days. It has been absoultly beautiful and the animals and flowers and clouds and everything have been awesome. We are going to stay in Wrightwood tomorrow night as well so I may try and come back and upload more photos tomorrow to my photobucket account as these computers are pretty fast. So if you click on any of the photos it will take you right to my photobucket pct page and you can check there. But for now here are a few: Big Bear Lake Road walking through the birned areas

Big Bear!

So we have made it over 250 miles!! Pretty amazing when I think about it.....kind of crazy we have walked that far. It has been great thus far. I am loving it. Though we are about to go into the really hot desert section so...But here are some photos from this last bit Our very dirty clothes. We had to fill the tub like 4 times to get the water to not get to that dark brown color. Amazing how dirty things get in the desert And I did not realize we had to watch out for.... Killer Trees!!! We woke up one morning in the clouds. So we packed up and started walking and we got to this boulder field that was amazing! The clouds were rolling in and then they would start to retreat and then come in again....we sat and ate breakfast there. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip thus far as it was gorgeous! It was amazing. The ground was just like one big rock with boulders on it. Absolutely gorgeous! I also didn't realize I had to watch out for cheerleaders..... And squirrels.....there
