Kolobrzeg Poland 2023 - Day 1

For my birthday last year I decided I wanted to go up to the Polish coast and check it out. We hadn't been to Poland yet and there were so many really nice looking places to stay right on the water which I love! So we headed out for a long weekend.

First we decided to stop in Szczecin to check it out since it was on the way

We just had a quick wander and saw what we could see in a short amount of time. It was fun.

Then on to our place in Kolobrzeg which was really nice!

It overlooked the sea!

But the inside was a bit small with stuff everywhere so we ate our meals outside on the balcony

Then went out to explore! Our place was a bit outside of town so we decided to walk down the coast to town

Memorial of the marriage of Poland to the Sea!

The lighthouse at the point

Fun ship!

And pierogis for lunch on the beach! They were so tasty!

We wandered through town on the way back to our place

It was a great day! I love the water so it was perfect!

The final days in Paris

Our second day of our museum pass we used to go to the Louvre. It so huge - we spent from open to close there and just managed to see everything. It is also very confusing how to get from point a to point b - so many stairs and up and down floors just to see the one floor....good thing I had Raymond or I would have wondered aimlessly forever (but by the end I had the hang of it). We started with the medieval Louvre, Greek, Etruscan, Roman and Egyptian Antiquities. When we first walked in we were right behind a few tour groups, but somehow we lost them pretty quick and we able to walk around and brows without tons of people. I cannot imagine going during the summer when it is super crowded. I liked the different colors of stone on some of them After that we got some lunch nearby then headed back to look at the paintings Then my favorite part - decorative arts. So much fun pretty things. Replica of Napoleons apartment. Then ...

Updates!

So I know we haven't updated in forever.....but we have REALLY been in the middle of nowhere. The section through the high Sierras is at least a 9 mile hike out to a road where you might get a ride down to a town (and we did that 9 mile stretch and the library there was....tiny and not very well organized). So we haven't been anywhere were the internet connection was good enough to upload anything, but Raymond is working on uploading the last few that we had from before The Sauffley's. But I am working on uploading the rest of the pictures we have taken so far, and depending on time I may make a post highlighting some of them. Raymond put a link to the pics on the side so you can just click that to see what we have been walking through. We have fallen a little farther behind now, but we are not really worried. This last section, the high Sierras, was exhausting! And I was not about to try and do more as then we wouldn't have been enjoying it....and if I am not enjoying ...

Campervan Adventures in Iceland: Day 11 - Kerid Crater & Reykjanes Peninsula

Day 11 our first stop was Kerid Crater. This was nice, but nothing special. You have to pay to get in, you can walk around the top and then down to the water, but if you are going to be seeing other craters then this is an easy one to skip. Nice, but nothing special.
