Fall Trip 2022: Eisenach

Today was explore Eisenach day - we wandered around town seeing what there was to see

Where Martin Luther likely lived (it is a Luther museum now)

The narrowest house in town

In the afternoon we walked up to Burschenschaftsdenkmal to see the views, but first had to walk by this former Bishop's seat which is closed off to people, but fun to look at

Then we made it to Burschenschaftsdenkmal

With nice views

The way back to town was along this open pathway with views the entire time

Wartburg in the distance

And back to town

Eisenach was a pretty nice place to wander and lots of nice trails to walk along.

But instead it was like the forecast called for gorgeous weather this weekend and we were just going to sit at home. I figured we could have at least gotten to the next stop and then only had one more chunk to do next year, but Raymond really didn't want to go back out so we decided not to. But hopefully by this time next year we will get the last 2 sections done, and maybe go back and do the section from white pass to snoqualmie as we went RIGHT by Mt Rainier and it is supposed to be g
