Getting to Railay Beach from Bangkok kind of takes forever. We had taken the overnight train from Bangkok to Surat Thai where we had to switch to a bus to take us to Krabi. I slept much better on the train that night. I had put in my earplugs and only woke up a few times. It was great. I woke up around 6 and was ready to go. Raymond was just like you are so wakey! I was just like yeah - I actually slept! So I was all refreshed and ready to go.
We had picked up some banana muffins in Bangkok for breakfast, as well as leftovers from our feast the night before, and the muffins were delicious! We should have gotten more of them than we did. So we got to Surat Thani and had to switch to a bus like I said. It was a bit confusing where we should go and what was going on, but we got on the bus and it took us into Surat Thani Town. That bus was really nice so I thought the trip to Krabi would be great. Only we had to wait a bit and switch buses and the new bus, the one that took us the whole…
We decided to go up to the coast for Easter last year and went somewhere new - Rostock. You have to go out to Warnemunde to get to the actual coast, but I couldn't find any places available that overlooked the water so we stayed in the city instead. And it snowed!
Wandering around a wet, snowy Rostock
We did take the train to Warnemunde one day and it was gorgeous, but super cold!
While wandering in Rostock we saw there would be a choir concert at St Marien church so we decided to check it out. It was the St John Passion by Heinrich Schütz and...was just okay. Really a few of the singers were not very good so...plus it was freezing in the church. No heat or anything, it was cold outside so those stone walls and suff just made it so so cold.
Are you guys getting tired of all the photos of the same place? Well it is almost over! Just two more posts to go.
Fruit bats eating the fruit!
We really just swam all day! Raymond went snorkeling again in the morning and I was in the pool almost the entire day - just out for lunch and to get more cold beverages!
Can anyone guess what this is?
When we were out on the sunset cruise the night prior we saw that you could walk forever out on the sandbank since it was low tide. So we headed out there for sunset and it was gorgeous!
You had to wade across some really shallow water at times, but you could walk out really far
