She also noted that they walked through some areas that were quite beatiful with colorful Spring flowers. She thought "Mom would like it here." Too funny, wherever Jenni sees flowers she thinks of me. On Thursday afternoon, Jenni called from outside of the library in Julian. You could hear the wind over the phone! So far their gear has performed as necessary - the sleeping bags were warm enough in the wind and below zero weather on the second leg. She did mention that when they reach their next resupply stop (I think it's the next one), there is a pancake challenge to see who can eat 2 pancakes a foot in diameter. If it was ice cream, I know Jen would win that challenge!! I am with Jenni and Raymond in spirit, and of course there is ALWAYS the chance that I will parachute in and meet them!
